Pizza Night

Friday night = pizza night. It's form varies depending on the current financial situation. We've had Cici's night, frozen pizza night and homemade pizza night. This past Friday was deemed a homemade pizza night and I wanted to try a variation that I've been thinking about for a while. Pizza on the grill. Everything I've read about it gives it an incredible review and it pretty much lived up to the hype. Especially the crust.

Not nearly as amazing as the pizza itself: being locked out on the patio after a North Texas cold front came through while without shoes or a jacket because a certain toddler has discovered how to turn the lock on the door. Except that she hasn't figured out how to unlock. Not that she really minded. She gave it a go and then decided that sitting on the living room floor and flipping through books was much more entertaining than Mommy knocking and pleading and giving unlocking instructions.

At least dinner was a success.

Well, I'm sorry to hear about the lock situation, but on the positive side, the pizza looks fabulous!! :-) And did you just get the email form Bill Penzey about the upcoming changes to the catalog? And free cloves? Bringing it all together-- have you tried their pizza seasoning? It's very tasty!!

looks delish. what kind of cheese did you use?

i think I just might try this if and when the weather ever gets warmer in NJ

I haven't tried the Penzey's pizza seasoning...must add to my list.

The cheese was just plain old Mozzarella pre-shredded cheese. I might just throw caution to the wind next time and try the pre-shredded "Italian Blend". Woo!
