Round Up- November

Bibs & Produce Bags
I made a bunch of bibs and produce bag sets in November.  My sewing machine has paid for itself a thousand times over.  I can't remember the last time a day passed without turning it on at least once.  Good stuff.

Spy Owls, Etc.
More!  Hooray!  They are impossible to pick up and not play with, no matter what age you are.  I made these with a canvas(ish) fabric that turned out well, plus a special request monkey.  Rory's buddy Sophia got a pink fleece owl for her birthday this year.

Autumn Leaf Branch
What a great idea for including a three-year old.  This was from this tutorial on lovelydesign.  Rory actually did a lot of the painting.  I think it turned out really well!

Elf on the Shelf
Meet Bernard.  He's our take on the Elf on the Shelf concept.  I'll admit, we don't have the book.  I've read it before at a friend's house and thought the idea was great.  I whipped up our own elf on Black Friday before the rest of the house was awake.  Bernard might not be exactly the same as the other Shelf Elves, but he sure works at our house.

He's my elf version of the super-cool Black Apple Doll pattern.  I finished him before doing a little more research into the pattern construction and so he's a little skinny in the arms and legs. I'm just going to say that it adds to his charm.  Yeah, that's it.

Unfortunately, December will most likely be round-up style, too.  I want to make sure Christmas gift recipients are surprised!

I think Bernard's outfit is super cute! You saved yourself about $20 bucks too!

Thanks! I loved how well Rory responded to the concept. She'd see someone shouting and say, "Uh-oh. Bernard might not bring them a present." I think she may have some confusion with Bernard and Santa, but we'll sort it out next year. :)
